Kailua’s Own, REMI Realty Introduces Full Service, $4,995 Flat Fee for Residential Listings
Charles Schwab did it for Stocks. Kailua’s own, REMI Realty believes it can do the same for real estate. “We can either spend on marketing to attract clients or attract them with our service, technology and this new cost structure. We choose to invest in the consumer,” says David Catanzaro, principal broker.
REMI attracts listings with a flat fee of $4,995 paid for and at the successful closing. In turn, buyers call REMI (263-REMI) because REMI has listings. The volume increases sales and profit. “We proudly match our quality and full service with any competitor. We keep our overhead and costs low and clients benefit”, explains Lillian Cervantes, a long time agent. To profit, REMI uses state of the art systems to free its agent so they work more with clients and sales, and spend less time prospecting for new clients. The other part of the profit puzzle was solved when REMI decided to place listing agents on salary. It’s a win-win. The consumer wins, and REMI wins. They are the only one doing this”, says Chris Catanzaro, operations manager for Remy’s technology partner, (PSS) Pacific Systems Solutions, LLC.
The REMI Mission is to provide high quality, full service, residential real estate listings at a flat fee of $4,995 + tax. The service is offered in zip codes 96734 and 96744 (Kailua and Kaneohe).
Catanzaro trains agents to document files and process forms using the new technology. PSS has developed phone and computer systems to support these efforts. Time saved is used by the 30 year veteran to train agents on such skills as the art of negotiation, marketing, eskills, state & federal laws, escrow, settlement and closing. The training is the key to customer satisfaction.
“With REMI as the listing agent, the consumer saves thousands”, says Cervantes. “The buying agent is still paid the traditional 3% by the Seller, so the buying agent’s motivation remains the same. But the seller saves on the listing side by paying only $4,995 to REMI.” She adds, “A seller saves $13,000 on the sale of a $600,000 home and still gets full service”. Catanzaro adds, “If every seller saves $13,000 using our system, there would be millions more available for the consumer to furnish their new homes”.
